Governors

PTFA

Role of the Governors:
The role of the Governors is defined in the articles of the School and Diocese.

The Governors are an essential, but often little-known, part of running a successful school.

They play a key role in supporting the Head Teacher in defining the longer term aspects of School life.

Areas such as involving active participation by the School Governors include:

  • The relationship of the School with the Diocese,
  • School Policy on different issues and
  • Financing the School & its development.

As a Church of England School, the role of the Diocese of Winchester is very important, and there is always a representative of the Diocese on the Board of Governors. This is usually the Vicar of the Church of the Holy Rood, Holybourne.
